Why You Should Go
The Sultanate of Oman has one of the oldest civilizations in the Arabian Peninsula, dating back thousands of years with notable periods of greatness in the ancient world and in medieval times. Though Oman faded from prominence, it has recently reemerged under the leadership of Sultan Qaboos Bin Said. The country’s rich heritage, a strong sense of identity, and pride in their ancient, frankincense-trading past offer travelers a rare chance to engage with the Arab world. Oman’s many villages and towns are abundant with traditional charms and Bedouin values. From the rugged mountains, expansive deserts, and coastline buzzing with sea life, it is easy to see why we are big fans!
